The conference is inclusive and welcomes all grades of colleagues from primary and secondary care as well as academia. Trainees from Dental Foundation to Registrar grades attend and are encouraged to present audits and papers to the learned audience with prizes in each grade awarded to the best in category.

The conference is also an opportunity to inform attendees of developments in the specialty both politically and clinically. National and international specialists in their field are invited to deliver talks.

The Annual General Meeting is also held at the conference and is a forum for debate and discussion on where the specialty is and what the future plans are for progression and development.

There are also specialist sub-committee meetings at lunchtimes to allow likeminded people to meet and exchange views and news pertinent to their interests.

The social events at the conference are always extremely enjoyable and allows for catching up with old friends and making new ones with great opportunities for meeting and networking.
