Alice Cameron
Elected Trainee Representative
I am a specialty registrar in oral surgery in Gloucestershire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.
I graduated with Honours from Queen’s University Belfast in 2016, having undertaken an elective in Cambodia between my fourth and fifth undergraduate years. I subsequently completed Dental Core Training in the South West and began specialty training in 2021. During this time, I have been lucky enough present nationally and internationally, and have published on a wide range of topics including research projects and quality improvement work.
I have a keen interest in education and have recently completed an MSc in medical education. During my St1 year I was successful in securing a part-time fellowship in training recovery from the COVID-19 pandemic.
It is a privilege to be able to represent the views of oral surgery trainees on BAOS council, particularly during this time of curriculum transition, and I encourage trainees to contact me with their queries or concerns – I am very happy to help.
