"A 3 day Course in Teaching and Learning for clinicians involved in Oral Surgery and Dental Education"
This short course is designed for those involved in supporting teaching and leaning in oral surgery and dental education contexts. It provides both theoretical and practical insights into learning, teaching and assessment concepts, strategies and resources. It will be an interactive course with examples and methods appropriate to oral surgery and dental education and will be based on a theoretical understanding of how learners learn and participants practice. The overall aim is to make you a better informed and effective clinical teacher. The course is designed to be educational, fun and practical and build on the first session in Edinburgh and will be recognised for 19.5 CPD points. The course will be limited to 16-18 places to allow for active participation and individual support.
It will be held in the pleasant environment of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh and will include a course dinner and the recommended text.
The journal of the association is being internationally well received.
For any members who have yet to receive their journal please contact the BAOS office at the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh. (Roger Manson)
