Annual Conference 2009

The 2009 BAOS Conference will be held on the 9-11th December 2009 at the Birmingham International Convention Centre. Please go to the Events page for more information, Registration forms and the Conference Programme.

New Training Course

"This is a 3 day Course in Teaching and Learning for clinicians involved in Oral Surgery and Dental Education

From the 7th to 9th October 2009 at The Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh.

This will be led by Pat Dollard who enthusiastically and effectively led the session at the 2008 BAOS Conference in Edinburgh. He is a teaching fellow and postgraduate tutor at the Peninsula School of Medicine and Dentistry. He will be aided by Pippa Blacklock who is actively involved in both undergraduate and postgraduate oral surgery education

The course is designed to be educational, fun and practical and build on the session in Edinburgh. The course will be recognised for CPD and we are also hoping to gain educational recognition so that the course will contribute to those who are hoping to do further training in education. The course will be limited to 20 places to allow for active participation and individual support.

It will be held in the pleasant environment of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh and will include a course dinner and the recommended text.
