Workshop in soft tissue handling and socket preservation techniques

The aim of this course is to discuss simple surgical soft tissue management, including indications and principles for deepening of vestibule and extraction of a tooth followed by socket preservation with the use of latest biomaterials on models and pig jaws.  A hands-on session will provide an opportunity to carry out surgery on pig jaw, Limited to 20 delegates

RCSEd SAS Surgeons Conference - Career Development

This educational day is planned for Specialty Doctors, Associate Specialist and Staff Grade SAS) surgeons from all specialties and from all areas of the UK. Surgeons in other non-standard and locum posts are also welcome. The programme will focus on the role of SAS and those in related grades. Presentations will be given on complaints management, consent and SAS as educators and trainers. In the afternoon workshops will be held on pension planning, job planning and common ethical dilemmas in surgical practice.

The GDC have recommended “core” CPD topics that all registrants must have covered during their five year cycle, why not cover all of them in one short break in Edinburgh?  We will have  a great line up of national speakers  to take us through the core CPD topics. The programme and registration details will be published shortly . The course will take place in Edinburgh from the 8- 9 May 2017 in the Royal College of Surgeons od Edinburgh.
