2017 Oral Surgery prize & Research prize for a 2500 word Oral Surgery Audit or Oral Surgery Research project.

The Audit/ Research paper is to be submitted to the BAOS office by noon on the 12th June 2017.

Rules & Guidelines

Oral Surgery Audit Project

Submissions are invited from the following clinical grades (individually or groups thereof). This is a full audit submission and should be typed with double spacing up to 2500 words (the word count must be clearly visible on the submission).

Category (a). SHO/DCT/ DF2 or DF1/Undergraduate  

Category (b). SD/ StR/ SAS/

Categories a. and b  each have 2 prizes available;

First prize: £250 plus an invitation to present your paper at the annual British Association of Oral Surgeons conference for the Open Paper  prize.

Second prize: £100 plus an invitation to present a poster at the British Association of Oral Surgeons annual conference for the Oral Surgery Poster Prize

Commendations may also be made to those submissions that are of sufficient quality, at the discretion of BAOS Council.

This project must demonstrate a full audit cycle.

2. Category (c) BAOS Research Prize 

Submissions are invited from ALL grades. This is a full project submission and should be typed with double spacing up to 2500 words (the word count must be clearly visible on the submission).

The applicants of this category will be considered to present their research at the BAOS annual conference, and so may be invited to present in the Open Paper Prize category. The winner of this prize will automatically  be invited to present their research at the conference., and so be eligible for the Open Paper Prize.

The BAOS conference will be held from 27-29 September 2017 in The Europa Hotel, Belfast.  All Prizes will be will be presented at the BAOS Annual dinner being held on Thursday 28 September 2017 in BelfastTown Hall .
